Here are three great places to eat for baseball fans attending spring training in Jupiter, Fla.:

Food Shack  LOVE THE SHACK!

What makes it great: Delicious food, interesting menu, and an island vibe.

What you can order: Food Shack is a seafood restaurant, but not your typical one, as it's influenced by Caribbean and Asian dishes. Examples of its menu items include a sweet potato crusted chicken with green bean mango salad and key lime garlic dressing, coconut shrimp over spicy mixed melon pineapple salad and honey chili lime dipping sauce, blackened fish tacos, sweet 'n spicy fish, west indies seafood bowl, and much more. Expect its food to be on the expensive side for a casual restaurant; main entrees run $17 to $24.

Best things to order: Everything. For dessert, though, I'd go with their crème brulee cheesecake. Although, its raspberry key lime pie is worth trying, too.

Location: 103 South US Highway 1, Jupiter, FL.

Hours of operation: Open for lunch and dinner Monday-Saturday. Call Food Shack for exact hours.

Phone number: (561) 741-3626

Dune Dog  FUN FUN GREAT RIBS

What makes it great: Dune Dog is a good place to sit outside and just relax while enjoying its tasty food and beach atmosphere.

What you can order: Their menu has burgers, hot dogs, sandwiches, salads, ribs, wings, lobster, snow crab legs, clam, shrimp, dolphin, steak, chicken, fish 'n chips, chili, and more. Hot dogs are priced $3 to $5, burgers are $4 to $7, and most entrees are $11 to $13.

Best things to order: Their hot dogs are good, but if you're tired of typical baseball stadium food, then try the lobster or other seafood options.

Location: 775 North Alternate A1A, Jupiter, FL.

Hours of operation: Daily, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Phone number: (561) 744-6667

Center Street Nook BEST KEPT SECRET!

What makes it great: Center Street Nook has a varied menu, which is great if you are in town with family of friends who are in the mood for different things. Their prices are also reasonable in comparisons with other restaurants in the area.

What you can order: It serves breakfast till 2 p.m. The breakfast menu features unique items such as Funky Monkey Panky-Poos (pancakes with chocolate chips, peanut butter chips, and bananas), Shrimp & Grits, Shrimp Benedict, Rueben Benedict, and Tropical Omelette. Country Singer Alan Jackson Puts Florida House on The Market

Country singer Alan Jackson's Florida beachhouse is on the market for $14.9 million (Click on the photo to tour the house)

A “for sale” sign has gone up on country music star Alan Jackson‘s Jupiter Island homestead!

The price tag is $14.9 million, according to MLS listings!

The property reaches on both sides of the island’s beach road. It has docking for four yachts in the Intracoastal on the west side. And there’s an 8,700-square-foot, two story beachfront mansion in nearly 1 acre of dunes on the east side.

The property, in the quiet southern edge ofthe tony Martin County island and adjacent to the Blowing Rocks Preserve, has been the 53-year-old Jackson‘s for 10 years. He bought it for $3.5 million.

Jackson leveled the existing home in 2006 and had a brand new one built in 2007. It has six bedrooms and five baths and is appraised by the county at about $6.2 million. It’s located on a stretch of beach lined with the mansions of multi-millionaires, including golfers Tiger Woods and Greg Norman as well as former Lehman Brothers boss Richard Fuld.

The move is a surprising one from the former Ford celebrity spokesman. An avid fisherman, the singer of Chattahoochee has been a visible presence in the area for a decade.

He used locations near the house for music videos. One version of It’s Five O’Clock Somewhere that also featured Palm Beach troubadour Jimmy Buffett was filmed at the Square Grouper, a tiki bar in Jupiter.

Jackson recently slashed the price of a cottage he’s owned in Tequesta for years. A much smaller property, it’s been on the market for $900,000, down from $1.2 million

Divers discover airplane submerged off Jupiter Inlet

 — Randy Jordan was just following the fish.

Diving at a depth of about 200 feet four miles off Jupiter Tuesday, the owner of Emerald Charters wasn't expecting to see much more than sand and seafood.

But the deep waters were hiding something: the remains of a mostly intact aircraft upside down on the ocean floor.

Jordan says experts shown video and photos of the craft identified it as a WWII-era Curtiss Helldiver SB2C.

"It's a very rare airplane," said Jordan. "There may be only one flying now."

Local WWII aircraft buff Kevin Knebel, who has seen video of the dive site, said it wasn't surprising that a WWII plane would be found off Florida - "planes are scattered up and down our coastline" - but it is unusual that one would be unidentified, and that it appears to be a Curtiss Helldiver.

"I think this may be the first Helldiver ever found" off the Florida coastline, he said. Knebel speculates the Helldiver, a Navy aircraft, could have come from Key West on a training exercise. In addition, in 1942, the U.S Navy trained WWII pilots at Witham Field in Martin County.

Since his discovery, Jordan and other divers have been down to the plane just once, though there are plans to take more divers to the site to help solve the mystery of how the craft came to be resting on the ocean floor.

But the divers are moving cautiously. For one thing, Jordan points out, there could be live ammunition. A dive bomber, the Curtiss Helldiver bristled with weaponry: torpedoes, machine guns and bombs were all standard issue.

And there is another reason for keeping a respectful distance. "It may be a grave," Jordan said. "Somebody was on that plane."

For now, what's visible is the fuselage, wings and tail, with the bomb bay doors closed. The engine is detached and lying in front of the aircraft. The landing gear is retracted. The propeller blades are bent.

If it is a Helldiver, it would be the second such underwater find in two years. In January 2010, the owner of a scuba shop found a SB2C Helldiver off Hawaii in about 50 feet of water. According to press reports, the U.S. Navy was preparing a plaque to mark the site.
